BDRC's Executive Director Dr. Jann Ronis and technical lead Élie Roux present an online demo of our new website and library platform, the Buddhist Digital Archives (BUDA), providing tips and tricks for the new user.
BUDA, BDRC's new library and search platform, was launched in beta in August 2020. Thanks to your enthusiastic feedback and reviews, we are refining and improving BUDA on an ongoing basis. Compared to tbrc.org, which will be retired in the future, BUDA allows for a more precise search within a far greater library, enhancing your search experience and increasing your search results. Please read more about BUDA here and access the user guide here.
The demo was given to faculty and students at the University of Toronto and Columbia University. The event was co-sponsored by the universities' Tibetan Studies programs, and we are grateful to Drs. Frances Garrett and Lauran Hartley. The launch of BUDA is the culmination of three years of dedicated work by BDRC's team with generous support from The Robert N. H. Ho Family Foundation.
